MONTHLY GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS

Except for the months of March, June, July, August and September, general membership meetings are typically held on the first Monday of each month. These meetings give members the opportunity to socialize, make new business contacts, enjoy an excellent dinner and hear speaker presentations on a wide variety of subjects.

The meetings vary in their style. Sometimes it is a dinner or lunch meeting and others may just be a "cocktail party." Each meeting offers member companies the ability to sponsor a table. For more information please contact robin@hbal.com or kathie@hbal.com.

NATIONAL HOME BUILDERS CONVENTION – January/February

Each year in January, dozens of members from Louisville depart for five days of intensive educational programs and industry exhibits at one of the nation’s largest trade shows, the "International Builder's Show," NAHB's Annual National Convention. SALES & MARKETING COUNCIL’S DEVELOPER’S FAIR – March

Each year, the SMC presents a Developer’s Fair, in which developers present information on location, lot sizes, prices, and amenities (such as a club house) for new and existing developments in the area. More than fifty developments are usually on hand at this event. Both Builders and Real Estate Agents attend free of charge. Sponsorships are also available for this event. CHARITY GOLF OUTING – June

The Social Responsibility Committee of the HBAL holds its annual Charity Golf Outing each year at a very prestigious golf club inLouisville. The golf outing is always a sell-out and the money raised each year is donated to a local charity. Sponsorships of all levels are available for this outing. HOMEARAMA – July

For decades Homearama has brought new homes to the forefront. Continuing its fine tradition, this event allows tens of thousands of shoppers to tour the best that a new home has to offer. New home shopping, decorating, furniture, home products and ideas all are found at Homearama each year. If you are a builder, Homearama is the only place that brings you almost every are new home shopper to your doorstep every year. If you are an Associate Member, this is the time to show off your newest and best product and/or service. Booth space is available at the entry to the event. Members are invited to attend the "Preview Party Night" at Homearama, an event that gives them the opportunity to take a look at the homes prior to opening to the public. Also, all members have the ability to purchase discount tickets to the Show for their employees. For more information contact gail@hbal.com.

ANNUAL HBAL GOLF OUTING - September

The Association's annual golf outing is a very popular event among HBAL Members, drawing nearly 210 golfers each year. A golf scramble, hole-in-one, closest-to-the-hole contests, a nail driving contest, and the annual Builder-Associate softball game take place during this fun filled day. Golfers are treated to complimentary beverages and snacks throughout the day and each golfer receives a special gift. Immediately following golf a buffet (lunch/dinner) is served – this too is free to the golfers. There is a fee for the meal for anyone attending that does not golf. REMODELERS AWARDS BANQUET – October/November

Another black-tie event is the lavish and entertaining Remodelers Council Awards Banquet, held in October or November. This "by invitation-only" event spotlights each individual that won awards from the Remodelors Council during the year. It is a grand experience enjoyed by both remodelers and their invited guests. HBAL members have the opportunity to sponsor the Remodelor’s Council Awards Banquet in a variety of ways. For more information contact margie@hbal.com.
